Tulare First Baptist Church!
My name is John Witty and I am privileged
to serve on staff as the Pastor of Discipleship
and Missions. God is using the hearts and hands
of people right here in our community to
impact the world near and far for his
Kingdom and it is my joy to be involved in facilitating that work!
Let me ask you…

- Have you seen a need in your community and wanted to do something about it?
- Do you dream about following that small voice in your heart to the ends of the earth?
If you can answer “yes” to any of those questions, I want to talk to you!
My role here at Tulare First Baptist Church is to equip, disciple, encourage and facilitate people to take their faith deeper. I can testify from my own personal journey that there is nothing as life-infusing as stepping out for the Lord and living in the reality of his providence. Are you willing to give it a try?
My hope is that you will find Tulare First Baptist Church a welcoming home where you meet friends who walk beside you as you grow in your relationship to Christ and take bolder and bolder steps to see just how faithful our Lord is! I want to get to know you and am here to support you as we walk together following our Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ.
The words of the Apostle Paul in his letter to the church in Ephesus make it very clear that when we let God work in and through us, more than we could ever imagine is possible: “(He) is able to do immeasurably more than all we ask or imagine, according to his power that is at work within us.” (Eph 3:20) AMEN!

John Witty was born in Manteca and accepted Christ at the early age of 6. He graduated from Westmont College with a B.A. in Music Composition and later from Fuller Theological Seminary with a M.A. in Intercultural Studies. He and his wife Laura have served in missions since 1998, most recently returning from China where they lived and served as English teachers for two years. They have a young son named Jack and love spending time together as a family exploring the wonderful world God created.
