The purpose of the Equipping Ministry is to engage 100% of the Tulare First Baptist Church family in living out a Purpose Driven Life fulfilling the five-fold purposes of worship, fellowship, discipleship, ministry service, and evangelistic mission. My role is to assist people in finding the tools they need to become the Christians God has intended them to be. I want to work with people and help them discover what they are called to do and provide the training and/or resources needed to fulfill that calling. This will be done through prayer, individual conversations and classes. I believe relationships are made and developed when an individual engages in learning and serving through teams and small groups

Thanksgiving
The year has turned its circle,
The seasons come and go.
The harvest all is gathered in
And chilly north winds blow.
Orchards have shared their treasures,
The fields, their yellow grain,
So open wide the doorway ---
Thanksgiving comes again!

I started with this poem because it reminded me that another year has passed and I asked myself…"What did I do with the year God gave me?" Our church theme this year was "Faith in Action" and I hope as we all reflect over this year we can see times that God took our little contribution and made great use of it for His Kingdom's sake. I have some other quotes to share that I have found particularly meaningful this year at Thanksgiving time. I hope you enjoy them as well. Christine Peterson
