Steve and Colette both grew up in California, Steve in Tulare, and became involved with the Navigators while they were students in college. They met in Seattle after college and were married. Their first assignment as a married couple on staff with the Navigators was at the University of Idaho in 1986. Seven years ago they moved to Knoxville, Tennessee, to work with the Navigators at the University of Tennessee.
Steve is on staff full-time with the Navigators and Colette is on staff with them also in a part-time position. Their work involves mainly evangelism and disciple-making among the students. They are also involved with leadership training and mentoring. Steve spends his days leading small group Bible studies and meeting one on one with students. Since becoming a Christian while at TUHS, Steve has felt an urgency to communicate the good news of Jesus with others.
